FIRE RATED / EMERGENCY DOORS

Fire/emergency doors are specialized safety assemblies designed to prevent fire spread and ensure safe evacuation, typically rated for 120 minutes. AVIVA are manufactured from galvanized steel (GI) or treated timber with Rockwool insulation, featuring panic bars, fire-rated hardware, and self-closing mechanisms, conforming to standards like IS 3614 and BS 476.

Key Specifications

  • Fire Rating: 120 minutes
  • Door Leaf Thickness: 46 mm to 50 mm, constructed from 0.8 mm – 1.2 mm galvanized steel sheet.
  • Frame Material: 1.2 mm – 1.6 mm GI sheet, often powder-coated.
  • Internal Infill: High-density (approx. 96kg/m³) Mineral Wool or Rockwool for insulation.
  • Finish: Powder-coated or epoxy-painted (60-65 Microns thickness).

Essential Hardware & Components

  • Panic Device: Panic bars or panic bolts (push bars) are standard.
  • Hinges: Stainless steel ball-bearing butt hinges
  • Door Closer: Heavy-duty, automatic fire-rated closer.
  • Seals: Intumescent strips (15x2mm) to expand and seal against smoke/heat, along with acoustic seals.
  • Vision Panel (Optional): Fire-rated 6mm-32mm borosilicate glass, typically not exceeding (or 15% of door area).
  • Locks: Mortise sash locks with lever handles or panic devices.
  • Closing: Must be self-closing and self-locking.
  • Clearance: Gaps between the frame and wall must be filled with fire-resistant sealant.
  • Signage: Clearly marked with "Fire Exit" or "Push Bar" signage.
  • Dimensions: Common sizes range from 700-1200mm (single leaf) to 1300-3000mm (double leaf) in width (Customized in size)
